Hoodstone Press was founded in April 2026 to provide a publisher to Glasgow and West of Scotland authors of quality published books on Scottish themes, who for whatever reason need a new publisher.

The Hoodstone motto is “Books Live Forever !!!” and the aim is to ensure that quality books, once published, stay available to book lovers and new readers rather than being lost sight of in the frenetic annual turnover of new titles.

Sandy Jamieson, who for many years until 2025 was Chief Executive of Ringwood Publishing Limited, is the Chairman of Hoodstone Press.

The two Managers are Rebecca Ogilvie, the Graphic Designer and Editorial/Production  Manager, and Amy Carson the Marketing and Social Media Manager. They will be helped by several Volunteers seeking to gain publishing experience.
